William Robert Kaufman, “Rob,” was born May 7, 1972 and raised in Lebanon, Ohio. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1990 and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
After college, he attended law school at the University of Cincinnati. During law school, he worked for the legal research company, Lexis-Nexis, and clerked for the Warren County Common Pleas judges. During this same period, he interned in the labor relations department of FirstGroup, a multinational transit corporation.

He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 2001 and to U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, in 2002. He is an active member of the Warren County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Since January, 2005, he has served as Magistrate of the Harveysburg Mayor’s Court. Prior to this appointment, he served for two years as Solicitor for the Village of Harveysburg. Additionally, he was appointed to the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Lebanon in 2006.

Most of his experience has been inside Warren County courtrooms where he has successfully represented clients in civil matters, in family law issues including juvenile court, and in both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.
